Chairman of State Electricity Board and CMD of East Region Electricity Distribution Company Pankaj Agrawal on Friday awarded Birsinghpur, Sarni and Pench power stations of Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Limited for excellent performance in generating power.
Sanjay Gandhi Thermal Power Station, Birsinghpur was conferred with the first 'Excellent Performance Award' for building the image of Board at national level in the year of 2009-10. A cheque of Rs 3 lakh as a token of appreciation with a moveable shield was handed over to the Station.
Similarly, a cheque of Rs one lakh with shield was given to Pench Hydel Power Station, Totaladol on outstanding performance for generating power in the year of 2009-10. Besides, Chairman Award was given to Thermal Power Station, Sarni for excellent services in fire fighting for the year of 2009-10. A cheque of Rs 10,000 was presented to the station.
Thermal power plants of Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company Ltd (MPPGCL) have again created record of generating maximum electricity in a single day on last Tuesday. Similarly, Sanjay Gandhi Thermal Power plant, Birsinghpur has also created record of generating maximum electricity in a day.
MPPGCL's Amarkantak Thermal Power plant, Chachai, Satpuda Thermal Power plant, Sarani, along with Birsinghpur plan produced 575.76 lakh units on January 25 and created the record.
Earlier to the record, these three thermal plants produced 573.67 lakh unit electricity on January 20 and broke the record of year 2009.
Gaining 93.91 per cent Plant Load Factor (PLF), Birsinghpur thermal power produced 302.03 units electricity on the day, while the very same plant produced 297.14 lakh units on January 20 with 92.39 per cent PLF. The plant also produced 294.34 lakh units electricity on January 14.
