PM condoles loss of lives in Japan, offers help

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Friday condoled the loss of lives in Japan earthquake and offeredIndia's help, saying, it stood in solidarity with the people of that country and was ready to help in any way required.

In a message to Japanese PM Naoto Kan, the PM said, "I am shocked to learn about the devastating earthquake that has hit the coast of Japan, and that has caused so much damage to life and property. I extend my heartfelt condolences to you and through you to all those who have suffered or lost their near and dear ones in this tragic disaster."

"I would like to convey to you that India stands in full solidarity with the government and people of Japan at this hour. We are ready to help Japan in any way required, and extend our resources are at your disposal," Manmohan said.
